RT Corner.net

RTCorner.net, the website for respiratory therapists, by respiratory therapists!   Our site was the brainchild of my husband, Ken Kane, R.R.T, with a little help from myself, Tammy Kane, R.R.T.  Ken is not only an RT, but a self-taught computer software writer. Ken has created software for our Respiratory Care Departments at  the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, as well as several other hospitals in the area. Ken and I both graduated from Tarrant County College in Hurst, TX. in 1995 and have continued to work in the DFW metroplex since then.   I myself taught beginning and intermediate Respiratory Care Lab and Clinical for ATI in Dallas, TX. for a brief period, and now teach Respiratory Care Lab at Collin County College . With our combined passion for learning and teaching, we decided we wanted a website that would help the respiratory care student from beginning to end.

What do we offer?  Everything!  People who visit our website will not only learn what a respiratory therapist is, but the history of our profession, and the tools we use.   In addition, respiratory care students will not only find our site appealing  because of our educational  information, but because we also offer sources to finding jobs, uniforms, and stethoscopes!   For the licensed therapist, we offer the latest news on pulmonary medicine, and information for online continuing education.  We also offer "tools" to assist the practitioner on the job.

Speaking of tools, have you looked at our "Clinical" link?  We offer calculations, assessment tools, pharmacology information, ABG diagnostics, EKG reading, breath sounds, chest x-rays, pulmonary anatomy and physiology,…the list goes on and is always growing!

RTCorner.net is dynamic.  We have something new almost everyday.   We also have many people that look at our website that are not respiratory therapists!   We have x-ray technicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians and nurses that use our website and give us input.

It's been a wonderful experience for both Ken and I.  We have had the opportunity to meet many knowledgeable and talented professionals that are as passionate about medicine as we are, and it is because of them that RTCorner.net has become what it is today!
